Star Citizen 3.24.13 & 4.0 Keybindings Guide

This guide provides a comprehensive overview of the keybindings for version 3.24.1-LIVE,3-LIVE and EPTU 4.0.0-ptu covering both on-foot and flight controls. Below, you'll find the default keybindings and their respective functions, organized for easy reference.

On-Foot Controls

These controls are used when your character is on foot, allowing you to move, interact, and engage in combat.

Movement

  • Move Forwards: W
  • Move Backwards: S
  • Move Left: A
  • Move Right: D
  • Jump: Space
  • Crouch: C
  • Prone: Ctrl
  • Sprint: Shift

Interaction

  • Activate / Interact: F + Left Mouse Button
  • Quick Activate / Interact: F

  • Hide/Show Chat: F12

Combat

  • Equip Weapon: 1-4 (Primary, Sidearm, Gadget, Consumable)
  • Aim Down Sight (ADS): Right Mouse Button
  • Fire: Left Mouse Button
  • Reload: R
  • Melee Attack (Light): Left Mouse Button (in Unarmed Combat Mode)
  • Melee Attack (Heavy): Right Mouse Button (in Unarmed Combat Mode)
  • Block (Melee): Q
  • Throw Grenade: G

Camera

  • Change Camera (3rd Person View): F4
  • Free Look: Z
  • Zoom In/Out: F4 +Mouse Wheel
  • Increase FOV: F4 +Numpdad +
  • Decrease FOV: F4 +Numpdad -
  • Advanced Camera Mode: F4 + Numpad Keys

Flight Controls

These controls are used when piloting a ship, enabling you to manage ship systems, weapons, and navigation.

Basic Flight

  • Ship Flight Systems Ready: Right ALT + R
  • ATC* for take off and landing: Left ALT + N
  • Throttle Up: W
  • Throttle Down: S
  • Strafe Left: A

Interaction Modes

ATC Air Traffic Control in Star Citizen

  • Purpose of ATC: Manages spacecraft operations to ensure safety and efficiency at spaceports and stations.
  • Methods to Call ATC: Request clearance using the ship’s MFD, mobiGlas, or the keybinding.
  • Clearance Required: Always obtain clearance for takeoff, landing, or docking to avoid fines or operational issues.

How to Use ATC in Star Citizen

  • Using the Ship MFD (Multi-Function Display): Access the MFD inside your ship and select the ATC option to request clearance for takeoff or landing.
  • Using mobiGlas: Press F1 to open mobiGlas, go to the "Comm" tab, select the relevant spaceport or station, and request clearance.
  • Using the Keybinding for ATC: Press Left ALT + N to request clearance for takeoff and landing automatically.

Advanced Camera Controls

For those who want to take cinematic shots or just have better control over the camera, these bindings are crucial.

  • Cycle Camera Views: F4
  • Advanced Camera Mode: F4 + Numpad Keys
  • Increase/Decrease FOV: + / -
  • Reset Camera View: *
  • Adjust Camera Position (XYZ): Numpad 1-9
  • Toggle Depth of Field: Home/End
